And a more detailed description from event sponsor Jim McGarry:

We want to invite you to a special event coming up at 7pm on Tuesday evening, the 9th of June, in our Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert Library on the NDNU Campus.
Bette Maisel ’15, a Bonner AmeriCorps participant, Associated Student Body Vice President and well-known leader and creative presence around our campus, will be talking about her art on display in the library, which is based on her field work in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. Her work will also be on sale to help support her post-grad year of international community engagement in Tanzania.
Speaking as well that night will be Monique Hunter, ’16. She will be representing our community partner, St. Vincent de Paul’s Catherine Center. This is also an opportunity for you to support our Sr. Dorothy Scholarship Fund, which helps graduates of this spiritually-based Restorative Justice program attend NDNU and finish their studies efficiently as they rebuild their lives.
If you prefer to make donations online, you can support Bette’s work at the “Go Fund Me” site here: You can also contribute to the Sr. Dorothy Scholarship Fund for graduates of Catherine Center online through the NDNU website here (you will see “Sr. Dot Scholarship” under the “Scholarship” Drop down menu.)
We are hoping to see you on June 9th. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
