Project WeHOPE (an acronym for We Help Other People Excel) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is to help improve the health of East Palo Alto by helping others overcome the critical issues facing homelessness and poverty in our cities.
Project WeHOPE is growing, and we are looking for passionate and qualified individuals to fill a variety of full-time or part-time positions to work at the WeHOPE Shelter, in the administrative office and for Dignity On Wheels mobile hygiene program.
Identify potential long-term funding, create and nurture long-term relationships with foundations and potential investors, grant writing and develop a portfolio and sustainable budget that supports all of WeHOPE’s programs.
Responsibilities include assisting in accounts payable, record keeping, tax filing and audit assistance.
Dignity On Wheels Driver
Transport the mobile hygiene and laundry trailer to various sites throughout San Mateo County or Santa Clara County. Must have clean driving record, experience towing trailers and be passionate about helping homeless.
Dignity On Wheels Program Coordinator/Manager
Responsibilities include managing the Dignity On Wheels program and day-to-day operations, working with potential partners, donors and host sites and managing staff.
Case Managers or Resource Specialists
Work directly with WeHOPE clients and assist in creating customized programs to help clients transition to permanent or supportive housing. Positions available at WeHOPE shelter and with Dignity On Wheels.
Help support clients, register, check-in, monitor and assess the overall well-being of clients and shelter. Must be able to work nights and graveyard shifts.
