Welcome back to class! Whether you just had a brief break since summer classes or are back after a longer time away, fall always feels like a new academic year. Hope that yours is off to a good start!
A few things to share:
First, this fall we are implementing a weekly newsletter to help keep you connected to each other and to activiites and campus announcements. Let us know if you have ideas to share!
Also – this is really important – there are a lot of new Financial Aid regulations in effect. Your adviser wants to work closely with you to make sure that you remain eligible, so let us know if you are thinking of changing anything.
GRADUATION! If you are planning to graduate in May/August 2014, applications are due before October 2. Prices to file an application get steep after that, so apply now (your adviser will have the form or you can get them from the Registrar’s office page on the NDNU site.
Safety! We have a very safe campus and campus security is dedicated to keeping it so. If you’d ever like an escort to your car when you get off class late, just call them at one of their cell numbers: 650 504-0656 or 650 740-1483.
Mental health resources: Did you know that as a student you can have up to 15 sessions of confidential counseling services per academic year? They even have some night hours, up to 10PM. Now is their busy time, but there are times during the year when it is easier to make an appointment. Contact them at 650 508-3714.
Stay tuned for announcements about the Internship/Volunteer Fair and the Human Resources and Leadership Certificates! Also, if you know anyone interested in attending school, there is a session on Financing Your Degree on September 23 at 6:30PM. Spread the word!
