Public Relations Summer Internship Program – Silicon Valley

The ZENO Summer Internship program is a full-time, paid opportunity that will run from June through August. The intern will be dedicated to support our technology practice area. The intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, included but not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with account team members from Assistant Account Executives to Vice Presidents & Managing Directors to develop & deliver key client deliverables
  • Manage the day-to-day activities for 2-3 accounts in your designated practice area
  • Perform media monitoring and tracking
  • Draft press releases and pitches and actively pitch media
  • Conduct research to aid in the strategy development process for current clients and new business pitches
  • Coordinate with outside vendors
  • Manage event logistics and provide day-of-event on-site support
  • Create and distribute mailers, press kits, and briefing kits
  • Support administrative staff and overall office operations as needed


Applicants should have prior job or internship experience or course work in public relations, be able to build media lists using Cision, create research reports, write press materials, and efficiently manage requests from multiple teams and colleagues. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong organizational and multitasking skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the facility to drive results are a must.

  • Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines
  • Must be pro-active and have the ability to operate effectively both independently and within a team
  • Must be a 2014 or 2015 graduate in a Bachelor’s or Master’s level program
  • Prior internship experience in public relations, communications, or related field a plus
  • MS Office proficiency is a must, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
