Countdown to May 2018 Graduation!

sigma beta deltaRecently, the NDNU chapter of Sigma Beta Delta honored Dr. Tish Davis-Wick for her contributions, giving her an Honorary Sigma Beta Delta award.

Sigma Beta Delta is the International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration.  From their web site:

Membership in Sigma Beta Delta is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university with a Sigma Beta Delta chapter. To be eligible for membership, a business student must rank in the upper 20 percent of the junior, senior or master’s class and be invited to membership by the faculty officers.

The purposes of Sigma Beta Delta are to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business, management and administration, and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.”

Our Dean, Barbara Caulley, joined with those honoring Dr. Davis-Wick at this beautiful event.  Dr. Davis-Wick is a full time faculty member, teaching evening classes in both Human Services and Business at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  In her short time on campus she has earned respect, appreciation, and affection of students, faculty, and staff alike for her wisdom, energetic teaching style, shared expertise, and positive presence. tish

Dr. Caulley further added to her kudos about the event, saying, “I must tell you how proud I was of these inspiring students, of the wonderful SBM faculty and advisors, and of their mentor, Dr. Sujata Verma.”  She added, “these types of events are a reminder of the fabulous work that each of the SBM faculty and advisors contributes to the education and growth of our students.”

Congratulations to Dr. Davis-Wick and to the students and faculty who organized this event.  Photos can be found, courtesy of Claire Karoly (with our thanks!) at this link.
