Below is a description:

This position works as an administrative and financial management assistant in the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Western Business Service Center (WBSC). This Center provides Administrative and Technical Support Services to 58 federal research laboratory locations in the Western half of the United States. The WBSC services half of the ARS field structure, with approximately 4000+ staff at 58 locations, in 20+ states. Responsibilities include providing assistance to the human resources office; real and personal property office; facilities, assets and environmental mgmt office; finance and agreements and acquisitions. Assignments include:  Collecting, analyzing and inputting data in various Data
Systems.  Communication via phone and e-mail in order to support multiple research locations with customer inquiries.  Assist Service Center staff with various duties, data calls, reporting requirements to HQ and the Department.  Skills Required:  PC Use, MS Excel & Word, Oral and Written Communication, Typing, Organization.
